These are really cute, but I don't know how much I like the idea of buying paper to roll up into roses.  Maybe I could use thrift store sheets or wallpaper?

I'm going to be making about a million of these for the wedding!  And then we can put them up in our new house!!  Doilies everywhere!

I'm thinking something along the lines of this for the invitations.  I know that I want fabric... maybe a little more whimsical than this, but this is by far the closest thing that I have found to my idea.  Another DIY project?  Yes, please.

Lace! Doilies!

I've been collecting vintage doilies, lace table cloths, vintage glass (bottles, jars, jugs, etc.) for the last 6 months to execute the image I have for our big day!  I may be almost done collecting lace table cloths, but since I found this table runner idea, I want more doilies!

Here is where I will be posting photos and stories of the progress of our DIY wedding.  The date of the big event is November 5th, 2011.  So, almost exactly 6 months from now, I will be marrying the love of my life.  AH!  There's a lot of work to do, but we have most of the basics covered.  The ring, the venue, the dress.  That's all we need, right?
