Wedding Registry

After much thought, we have decided not to register the traditional way for wedding gifts.  We really don't need more than a few things for our house and it seems so silly to register for a bunch of stuff we don't need!   This may bother some because the registry makes it much easier to buy gifts for the happy couple, but do not fret!  I have compiled a short list of easy items for your convenience!  ;)

Here goes nothing:

- Help with the wedding!  Contact us for a list of items needed, please!

- Any handmade items, art, drawings, pottery... you get the idea!

-(Here's the big one) Donations to pay off the wedding!  This may seem like we are asking for money... well, maybe we are.

We have been working really hard on our wedding and hope that everyone who comes to join us has a wonderful and beautiful experience!  This day means so much to us!  Thank you in advance for your contribution!  <3 <3 <3

An engagement story

I've been asked a few times lately how Mark proposed to me and truth is, he's never stopped.  He suggested a few times that we go to have my finger measured, so one day we went!  That night, I picked out an amazing ring on Etsy - it's handmade, recycled gold, and it's a lab made diamond called a moisannite.  The stone has 2 times the fire as a diamond, the same strength and durability, but the environment wasn't harmed by mining for it!  Anyway, when he clicked on the "buy now" button, he asked me to marry him and has asked me every day ever since.  Actually, it's going to be weird when we are married, not having him ask me all the time!  I think our proposal story is my favorite of all time.  <3

Flowers!

These flowers in the vintage glass!  This is exactly how I want the centerpieces for the wedding!  + candles!

I found my wedding dress!

I can't post photos, don't want the Mr. to see!  But, just know, it's beautiful!  It laces up the back, so I don't want to wear a sash, but I was thinking of adding some chiffon flowers to the front to make it more unique.  I'll be shopping for a DIY to make them myself!  Let me know if you find something, whoever you are.

Wedding favors

I think I like sparklers for the wedding favors... is that a wedding favor?  Or is it like the rice or bubbles that people throw when the married couple leaves?  Well, we rented a vacation home.  We will be having the wedding there and staying there.  We are not leaving, the guests are!  I think sparklers will work just fine!  And they will be so pretty!

These are really cute, but I don't know how much I like the idea of buying paper to roll up into roses.  Maybe I could use thrift store sheets or wallpaper?

I'm going to be making about a million of these for the wedding!  And then we can put them up in our new house!!  Doilies everywhere!
